The twist here? The banana sauteed in oil and cinnamon + all natural peanut butter (1 ingredient!!) + homemade strawberry hemp seed butter."

ingredients

  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon flaxseed meal
  • 8 strawberries, chopped into small pieces
  • 2 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
  • 1 banana, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 2 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

Method

  • Step 1

    Combine oats and 1 cup almond milk in a medium pot. Bring to a boil. Then, mix in the cinnamon, ground flaxseed meal, and 2 tablespoons almond milk. Reduce to a simmer, and cook for 3-5 minutes or until thickened, stirring every 20 seconds.

  • Step 2

    To make the jam, heat 1 teaspoon coconut oil in a pan over medium heat, Mix in the strawberries cook for 2 minutes. Once the strawberries have softened, mash them and mix in the hempseed meal. Continue to cook on low heat until thickened.

  • Step 3

    In another pan, heat 1 teaspoon coconut oil over medium-low heat. Add the halved banana to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes or until caramlized.​

  • Step 4

    Pour the oatmeal into a bowl and top it with jam, the caramelized banana and peanut butter.
