ingredients
Cherry Vanilla Syrup:
- 1/4 cup cane sugar
- 1/4 cup tart cherry juice
- 6 whole Cascadian Farm Organic Cherries, pitted
- 2 teaspoons vanilla bean paste
ingredients
Matcha Latte:
- 2 teaspoons matcha powder
- 1/4 cup hot water (not boiling)
- 3/4 cup milk of choice (dairy or non-dairy)
- 1 tablespoon cherry vanilla syrup (above)
Method
Make the Cherry Vanilla Syrup:
Step 1
In a small saucepan, combine cane sugar, cherry juice, and Cascadian Farm Organic Cherries. Cook over low to medium heat for about 3 minutes, until the sugar dissolves and the cherries soften.
Step 2
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla bean paste until fully combined.
Step 3
Strain the syrup into a jar or glass to remove the cherry solids. Set aside to cool.
Assemble the Matcha Latte:
Step 1
In a small bowl, sift the matcha powder and whisk with hot water until smooth and frothy.
Step 2
Fill a glass with ice. Add 1 tablespoon of cherry vanilla syrup, then pour in the milk.
Step 3
Gently pour the matcha on top to create layers. Stir before drinking and enjoy!
