Prosciutto Wrapped Apple Bites

"Thank you Pinterest for this utterly adorably yet time-consuming idea. I certainly wasted away my whole morning making three times the number of wraps pictured here. Whew! ... Prosciutto wrapped apple and manchego cheese slices with arugula greens! Delish!"

Recipe Intro From drumbeets

Pork, Good For A Crowd
4 oz Proscuitto
2 crisp apples
1/2 lemon
6 oz manchego
several handfuls arugula
olive oil & black pepper

Cut or tear prosciutto into inch-thick long strips.
Thinly slice apples and toss in a bowl with 1/4 cup of water and juice of 1/2 lemon to keep them from browning, then drain apples from citrus water.
Slice cheese into thin strips roughly the same length as the apple slices.
Pile an apple slice with a piece of cheese and a few sprigs of arugula, then wrap with a thin strip of prosciutto and repeat until you've used up all your apple slices - then maybe slice more apples if you have extra prosciutto and cheese!

Serve with a drizzle of olive oil and a few cracks of black pepper!

An updated charcuterie and salad in one with prosciutto wrapped apple and manchego cheese! A lovely platter for your holiday buffet, plus it’s gluten-free! @drumbeets presentation elevates this to “wow.”
