And how do you like to eat yours? β€” Avocado oil fried chicken thighs, DF cornmeal waffle, nectarines, raspberries, spicy fresno chili infused maple syrup, basil, borage, arugula flowers πŸ₯‘πŸ—πŸ§‡πŸ‘πŸŒΆπŸπŸƒπŸŒΌ. β€” SPICY FRESNO CHILI MAPLE SYRUP Add thinly sliced fresno chili (looks like a red jalapenΜƒo 🌢) to warm maple syrup. Twas a total game changer w/ the spicy sweet heat πŸ˜‹. Swipe right πŸ‘‰πŸ» for πŸ—πŸ§‡recipes. Waffle recipe yields 7 - 1/2 c sized waffles Ps. Recipe Card

For the chicken

ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs,
  • 1 cup unsweetened soy milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt,
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper,
  • 2 teaspoon Simply Organic Granulated Garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Simply Organic Onion Powder
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown rice flour
  • 1/2 cup cornmeal
  • Oil, for frying

Method

  • Step 1

    In a wide shallow bowl, whisk together soy milk, water, apple cider vinegar, half of the granulated garlic, half of the onion powder, salt and pepper. Set Aside.

  • Step 2

    In another shallow bowl, whisk together flours, cornmeal, salt, pepper, and the remaining spices.

  • Step 3

    Dredge chicken in wet mixture, followed by the dry and fry in 350Β°F oil until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165Β°F

For the Waffles

ingredients

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 3 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • Pinch of fine sea salt
  • 1 cup unsweetened soy milk
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons avocado oil

For the Waffles

  • Step 1

    Combine all ingredients until well combined. Pour 1 cup of batter into waffle maker and cook until golden brown and crispy.
