ingredients
- 24 pieces of green asparagus
- 1 roll of puff pastry
- 1 package of smoked salmon
- 1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 pinch of salt
- handful of dill
- pinch of sesame seeds
- pinch of hemp seeds
- drizzle of olive oil
Method
Step 1
Wash asparagus and trim its woody ends, set aside.
Step 2
Whisk egg, set aside.
Step 3
Cut puff pastry into 6 equal squares and top each one with 2 tbsp of grated cheese, 4 spears of asparagus, and 1-2 pieces of smoked salmon. Fold 2 of the dough corners over to the center, creating a pocket.
Step 4
Brush dough with egg wash and drizzle with salt, dill, sesame and olive oil. Bake at 200ºC for 20 min, or until golden brown.
Step 5
Sprinkle with hemp seeds and enjoy with some plain yogurt an lime (optional).
