"Cocktails on the mind when you’re eating Thanksgiving dinner and find yourself thinking, “hmmm…the sauce from these cranberries would make a unique seasonal simple syrup.” ? . My wife makes an amazing homemade fresh cranberry dish every year that slow cooks in riesling, star anise, allspice, orange zest and yep, sugar. The result is deliciously tart and boozy up front, followed by sweetness and holiday spice on the end. We had our usual leftovers yesterday and I thought it’d make a great seasonal and fancy cocktail – let the experiment begin! . ?1 oz strained housemade cranberry simple syrup ?3/4 oz @stgermaindrinks elderflower liqueur ?Top with Prosecco ?Garnish with fresh rosemary sprigs . Let’s be honest not all experiments work out. This one, however, will be a new post-Thanksgiving-day-breakfast tradition at our house. Move over mimosa! .
