For the Beignets
ingredients
- 3 medium apples, cored and sliced into 1/4" rounds
- 2/3 cup (100 grams) self-raising flour
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons (70 ml) milk
- 2 tablespoons (30 grams) unsalted butter
For the Cinnamon Sugar

- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
Method
Step 1
Core and slice the apples into ~1/4-inch thick rounds.
Step 2
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the self-rising flour, egg, and milk to form a smooth batter.
Step 3
Gently fold the apple slices into the batter, making sure each piece is well coated.
Step 4
In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Cook the coated apple slices for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
Step 5
Remove from the skillet and toss the warm apple beignets in the cinnamon sugar mixture. Serve immediately and enjoy!
