  • 3 medium apples, cored and sliced into 1/4" rounds
  • 2/3 cup (100 grams) self-raising flour
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons (70 ml) milk
  • 2 tablespoons (30 grams) unsalted butter

For the Cinnamon Sugar

  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar

Method

  • Step 1

    Core and slice the apples into ~1/4-inch thick rounds.

  • Step 2

    In a mixing bowl, whisk together the self-rising flour, egg, and milk to form a smooth batter.

  • Step 3

    Gently fold the apple slices into the batter, making sure each piece is well coated.

  • Step 4

    In a skillet over medium heat, melt the butter. Cook the coated apple slices for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
