"these bbq Italian-style plant-based sausages on Hawaiian sweet buns are a home run. [#sponsored] https://cravehouse.com/ @thefeedfeed __ i couldn’t believe these Italian-style sausages are 100% plant based because they are just delicious. these gluten free sausages are crafted from quality plants and perfectly seasoned and flavored. i was pleasantly surprised with the quality and just how similar it tastes, cooks and looks like conventional sausage. this recipe uses minimal ingredients making it a great option for a delicious and time efficient meal. my family absolutely loved this meal, including myself. the real game changer was the grilled bbq onions topped on the toasted Hawaiian sweet buns. __ you can find these Crave House Plant-Based Italian-Style Sausages at a @samsclub near you: ff.recipes/CraveHouse and get the recipe on @thefeedfeed! __ #cravehouse #italiansausages #plantbasedmeals #feedfeed #plantbasedsausage #mealideas #quickmeals"

ingredients

  • 1 15 ounce package Crave House Plant-Based Italian-Style Sausages
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 large yellow onion, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons barbecue sauce, plus more to taste
  • 1 16 (ounce) bag coleslaw cabbage mix
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup white vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 Hawaiian hot dog buns

Method

  • Step 1

Preheat a medium pan over medium-high heat. Cook the Crave House Italian-style sausages for 8-10 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.

  • Step 2

Meanwhile, in a separate pan, melt butter over medium heat. Add the sliced onions, salt, and pepper and cook until onions are softened and golden brown, 10-15 minutes. Stir in the barbecue sauce and set aside.

  • Step 3

In a large bowl, combine coleslaw cabbage mix, mayonnaise, white vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Refrigerate coleslaw for an hour to allow the flavors to marry.

  • Step 4

Assemble hot dogs on Hawaiian hot dog buns and top with BBQ onions and coleslaw mix. Serve immediately.
