Basil Sauce
- 1 cup fresh basil, torn
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

Skewers
- 1 15 ounce package Crave House Plant-Based Italian-Style Sausages, cut into thirds
- 2 bell peppers (green, red, yellow or orange), seeded and cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 large onion, peeled and cut into 1 inch pieces
- 8 ounces grape or cherry tomatoes
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- Kosher salt and pepper
Method
Basil Sauce
Step 1
Combine all ingredients in a mini prep or blender. Blend until emulsified and smooth.
Skewers
Step 1
Heat grill to med/high heat. Thread alternating pieces of sausage, peppers, tomato, and onion on skewers.
Step 2
Drizzle skewers with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Step 3
Grill, turning once, until sausage is cooked through and vegetables are softened and slightly charred, about 20 mins.
Step 4
Serve the skewers hot off the grill drizzled with the basil sauce, with extra sauce reserved for dipping.
