Celebrating today's blissfully cool weather with a big bowl of comfort food for dinner tonight! Spicy summer veg coconut curry with sweet corn, summer squash, jalapeño, red onion, ginger, garlic, fresh curry leaves + baby spinach, finished with lots of lime juice, sungolds, + Two-Tone Gomasio. Happy Monday night!
Dark Chocolate Matcha Truffle Bites
Dark Chocolate Matcha Truffles for a much-needed late-afternoon energy boost today . These are so delicious, not too sweet and easy to make with just a few basic ingredients, plus they're dairy-free, GF & vegan! What's your favorite afternoon energy boost (edible or not!)??
Spring Salad With Roasted Halibut And Castelvetrano Olives
Hey there! Our internet's been out all day so tonight we're listening to music and catching up on the New Yorker (not a bad deal, though to be honest I'd love to be watching the Americans right now ). Today's pics are trapped in my camera, so here's a salad I made last week and forgot to post: baby spinach, steamed broccolini, roasted wild halibut (flaked into bite sized pieces), chard + cress microgreens, castelvetrano olives, olive oil, big squeeze of lemon. A yummy one! Hope everyone is having a lovely evening
Turkey And Black Bean Chili
The rain is coming down in buckets right now and it's definitely a night for comfort food. Made a big pot of my turkey + black bean chili, and we'll be topping our bowls with crisp radish slices and peppery cress microgreens (plus some tortilla chips on the side for dipping)
Broiled Wild Sockeye Salmon With Miso-ginger-lime-glaze
Happy first day of Spring! Celebrating the sunshine and longer days (ok there's still some snow on the ground but I'm trying to ignore that) with this mega kale, fennel + red cabbage salad with quick-pickled shallots, fermented beets, and broiled wild sockeye salmon with a miso-ginger-lime glaze. So good.
Loaded Breakfast Tacos
Happy Saturday! It is cooooold in NYC this morning and we are kicking off the weekend with these fully loaded breakfast tacos. Seared shiitakes, ghee-fried eggs, quick-pickled shallots, avo, jalapeño, fermented hot sauce + my everything gomasio on locally made corn tortillas. Hope everyone has a great day
Broccoli Egg Drop Soup
Broth-y bliss for this cold and rainy day, to go along with my current hibernation mode Broccoli egg-drop soup with a base of ginger + garlic infused @whitegoldbutchers bone broth, topped with scallions, radish slivers, avocado, tamari, hot sesame oil + gomasio.
