Cheers to the holiday season with this Whiskey and Maple Orange Sour made with Maple of Canada Pure Maple Syrup. The egg white foam is KEY! You can switch up the citrus with whatever you have on hand; fresh grapefruit juice is also a really nice pairing to the pure maple syrup. Maple From Canada Pure Maple Syrup is made w/ one ingredient, maple syrup, making the flavor of this syrup bolder than what you'd find in a standard pancake syrup.
- 2 ounces Canadian whiskey
- 1 ounce fresh orange juice
- 1 ounce fresh lemon juice
- 1/ 2 ounce Maple From Canada Pure Maple Syrup
- 1 egg, white*
- Ice, as needed
- Orange wheels, for garnish
Add whiskey, orange juice, lemon juice, maple syrup and egg white to a cocktail shaker and dry shake (without ice) for 60 seconds. Open shaker and add a handful of ice and shake for another 30 seconds.
Strain into an ice filled rocks glass and garnish with an orange wheel. *Omit if you like, or use pasteurized egg white if desired.
