ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups almond milk
  • 1 serving homemade protein powder
  • 2 tablepoons cacao powder
  • 1 medjool date (pitted)
  • 1 1/2 bananas (sliced or halved, frozen if desired)
  • ice (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon almond butter (optional for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon hemp hearts (optional for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon cacao nibs (optional for topping)

Method

  • Step 1

    Blend all ingredients, except for toppings, until smooth. Add ice to make smoothie colder, if desired.

  • Step 2

    Divide between two glasses or jars. Top each with a drizzle of almond butter and sprinkle with hemp hearts and cacao nibs. Drink immediately.
