Rhubarb looks like celery’s prettier cousin, but luckily it has a lot more personality. When I was growing up, my aunt grew rhubarb and we would eat it straight out of the garden (trust me, not a good idea). However, when it’s mixed with a lot of sugar and surrounded by a buttery crust, the tartness provides a fresh take on pie.
