It’s always really exciting for #TeamFeedfeed when we get to visit a new city to meet the community in person on behalf of a brand we love. That’s exactly what we did a few weeks ago when we headed down to Asheville, NC to host a Sunday Brunch with our friends at Tuttorosso Tomatoes.
Brunch is the perfect meal to highlight the delicious taste and quality of Tuttorosso Tomatoes, and we knew we had to find just the right restaurant and chef to help us bring our brunch vision to life. That’s where Rhubarb Asheville came into the picture, and we knew we had found the perfect trifecta of Tuttorosso, Feedfeed and Rhubarb to create a special event that our Asheville community wouldn’t soon forget.
Rhubarb was the perfect restaurant to host this Brunch (top)! Our Feedfeed community members enjoyed both sweet and savory brunch dishes highlighting Tuttorosso Tomatoes from the Talented Chef John Fleer and his team. Here we have the Tomato Flatbread (top right), Tomato Pasta Salad (bottom left), and Baked Eggs (bottom right).

Once we had Chef John Fleer on board for the event, we knew it was going to be special. We knew the food and drinks would be fantastic, the space would be beautiful and the atmosphere would be lively. What really blew us away was the fact that much of our amazing community drove up to 5 hours to be there to meet us and experience the event in person! We were so excited to see our community from Atlanta, Charlotte, Asheville and other cities all come together to make this Sunday something very special.

We also invited our good friend Teri Turner from No Crumbs Left to join us in Asheville, because if anyone knows about gathering a community for a celebration, it’s Teri. We were so excited to welcome her “Crumbles” and our Feedfeed community to come together to enjoy a lovely afternoon together where everyone got to enjoy amazing dishes and drinks all made with quality Tuttorosso Tomatoes.

The Vegetable Shakshuka (bottom left) was a favorite among the guests (bottom right).

Chef Fleer’s team served dish after amazing dish right from the open kitchen in the room where the event was held. We tried everything from Savory Tomato and Goat Cheese Scones to Spicy Shrimp & Grits with Tomato Sauce to Shakshuka with Peppers, Onions and Farm Eggs. They even created Tomato Water using the Tuttorosso Tomatoes and served both red and clear Bloody Marys at a DIY Bloody Mary Bar!

We’ve gotten to work with tomatoes from Tuttorosso at several events as well as in our own test kitchen in Brooklyn, and we can tell you first-hand, when you are working with such a high-quality ingredient, the dishes and drinks that result are always incredible. That’s because Tuttorosso Tomatoes are picked at their peak ripeness, which ensures a taste and quality that truly cannot be beat.
Teri Turner of @nocrumbsleft (top), greeted the guests and gushed about her love of Tuttorosso Tomatoes. Rhubarb highlighted the quality of Tuttorosso Tomatoes in both brunch dishes (top right, bottom right) and cocktails, like this Bloody Mary (bottom left).
The event in Asheville was a true celebration of Tuttorosso Tomatoes and a celebration of our amazing Feedfeed community. Everyone at the event got to take home some special treats: some of our favorite cans of Tuttorosso Tomatoes, spices from Spicewalla (a local Asheville spice company) and goodies from Rhubarb and The Rhu, Fleer’s cafe, bakery and pantry.
The Feedfeed, Tuttorosso, and @nocrumbsleft teams (top) thank everyone for their Southern Hospitality! Our guests got to take home Feedfeed swag, Tuttorosso Tomatoes, Spices from Spicewalla, and treats from Rhubarb (bottom).

Many thanks to our friends at Tuttorosso Tomatoes for keeping the tomato inspiration alive all year long!
