ingredients
- 240 grams chocolate chips
- 6 tablespoons vegan butter
- 1 1/4 cups sugar
- 2/3 cup water
- 1 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Method
Step 1
Melt together the chocolate chips and vegan butter using a bain-marie (or in the microwave).
Step 2
In a small saucepan, mix the sugar in water on medium heat until dissolved (do not let the water boil or sugar caramelize!).
Step 3
Pour the sugar syrup into the chocolate mixture and mix well.
Step 4
Add the mixture to the flour, cocoa, and salt and whisk until fully combined.
Step 5
Pour the batter into a lined 8x8 baking tin and bake at 325F for 30 minutes. let cool completely before slicing.
