"Making traditional tteok-galbi can be a labor intensive task. Today, I baked these mini tteok-galbi triangles using regular ground beef from the store, and an electric mixer and a mini scone pan. Not only are they cute and portion sized, but they tasted almost good as traditional ones! "

Traditional meat patties that were originally made fit for the king

Traditional tteok-galbi

Ingredients:

2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup soy sauce
3T sugar
3T rice syrup
3T mirin
3T minced garlic
2-3T sesame oil
1/4 cup pureed Korean pear or apple
1/2 cup finely chopped green onion
1 tsp black pepper

Preheat oven to 400 degrees.

Put all the ingredients in a mixer. Using a paddle attachment over medium speed, beat for 5 mins (You can also knead it by hand).

Evenly distribute the mixture into each well

Bake for about 15-20mins
