ingredients
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips
- 4-6 ounces peppermint vodka ( or 1 tablespoon peppermint extract)
- Whipped cream, mini marshmallows, crushed and whole candy canes, for topping
Method
Step 1
In a medium-sized saucepan, heat the whole milk over medium heat until it's just about to simmer. Do not let it boil.
Step 2
Add the white chocolate chips to the saucepan and whisk continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
Step 3
If you prefer a spiked version, stir in the peppermint vodka until well combined. If you're going for a non-alcoholic option, add the peppermint extract instead.
Step 4
Continue to heat the mixture, stirring constantly, until it's hot but not boiling.
Step 5
Remove the saucepan from the heat and ladle the hot white chocolate into mugs.
Step 6
Top each mug with whipped cream, mini marshmallows, and a sprinkle of crushed or whole candy canes.
