Method
Step 1
Put a pot in oven. Pour mustard oil in pot. Temper the oil with 1 tsp Methi Seeds, 1/2 tsp Jeera. Add Mustard Seeds and curry leaves. As soon they splatter, add water.
Step 2
Add 1 tsp Ginger Paste. Add the Biulir Dal first. Cook for few minutes. Add rice. Add salt and sugar to taste. Add 1 tsp turmeric powder. Cook for few minutes.
Step 3
Add mug Dal (Dry Roast mug Dal before putting it in pot). Now let it cook on its own. As rice softens, and Dal gets cooked it's ready to serve.
