ingredients
- 1 cups Gobindobhog Rice
- 1 cups Mug Dal
- 1 teaspoons Garam Masala powder
- 1 Dry Red Chilli
- 1/2 cups Potato Cubes
- 1/2 cups Ghee
- 1 teaspoons Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 teaspoons Fennel Seeds
Method
Step 1
Dry Roast Moong Dal. Wash them thoroughly after and set aside. Pour ghee in pan. Temper with Jeera and fennel seeds. Add 1 dry red chilli. Put Dal once seed splatters.
Step 2
Fry them for 2-3 minutes. Add perboiled potatoes next. Add water and lower the flame. Cook in low flame till Dal starts softening. Add Gobindobhog Rice in pan. Mix everything. Add pinch of turmeric powder. Add salt and sugar to taste. Lower the flame and water as much needed.
Step 3
Wait till Dal and rice softens and water dissolves. Sprinkle 1 Tsp Garam Masala powder and finish cooking.
