Garlic Hummus
ingredients
- 4 tablespoons tahini
- 1 can chickpeas or garbanzo beans
- 3 tablespoon filtered water
- 1/2 lemon, seeded and juiced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon pepper
Method
Step 1
Drain and rinse the beans to get any excess can juice that might have been on the beans. For a creamer hummus remove the chickpeas skins.
Step 2
In a food processor or high powered blender combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, filtered water, garlic powder, salt, and olive oil. Blend all ingredients together until creamy.
Step 3
Scrap hummus into a serving bowl.
Hummus Toppings
ingredients
- 1/4 cup kalamata olives
- 1/4 cup chopped tomatoes
- 1/4 cup chopped cucumbers
- 1/4 cup red onions, chopped
- 1/4 cup artichoke hearts, chopped
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Hummus Toppings
Step 1
Mix all components in a small bowl. Sprinkle hummus with topping and serve.
