Directions:
1 cup raw walnuts soaked overnight in filtered water.
Drain, rinse & add walnuts to the blender with 3 cups filtered water.
Add 1 or 2 dates & give it all a good blend (this is if you want it sweetened).
Sieve the milk into a bowl with either a nut milk bag or fine mesh sieve to remove the pulp.
Pour the nut milk back into the blender.
Add vanilla seeds of half a pod or half tsp of essence.
Add 1 tsp. brown rice syrup (depending on how sweet you want it).
Add a tiny pinch of sea salt or river salt.
Blend altogether until frothy.
Pour the 1 cup from blender (depending on how much you want to drink) into a small saucepan and heat it up slightly - Do not bring it to simmer or boil, just a slight warming.
In your matcha mug, add 1 tsp tea powder (through a sieve to keep the powder fine)
Add a dash of warm/ hot water (boiled and left to cool down) and mix into a paste with your chasen.
Add 1/2 cup more warm/ hot water and whisk gently but briskly.
Add the walnut milk and whisk together until creamy and frothy.
