- 14 ounces fresh spinach
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese
- 14 ounces artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
- 1 teaspoon Better Than Bouillon Sautéed Onion Base
- 3/4 cup Parmesan cheese, shredded
- 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
For the bread:
ingredients
- 1 French bread loaf, halved
For the garlic butter:
ingredients
- 8 tablespoons softened butter
- 7 garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
For topping:
ingredients
- 8 ounces shredded mozzarella cheese
Method
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Step 2
Heat a skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and spinach, sautéing for 3-4 minutes until wilted. Remove from heat and set aside.
Step 3
In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, artichoke hearts, sautéed spinach, Better Than Bouillon Sautéed Onion Base, Parmesan cheese, mozzarella cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Stir until well combined.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, mix softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley until evenly combined.
Step 5
Place the French bread halves cut side up on a baking sheet. Spread the garlic butter evenly over each half. Top with equal amounts of the spinach artichoke mixture and spread to cover the surface. Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella cheese over both halves.
Step 6
Place in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and golden. For a more golden top, broil for the last 2-3 minutes.
Step 7
Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
