- EARLY GREY LAVENDER CAKE:
- 410 gram unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 3/4 cups sugar
- 6 eggs
- 4 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon finely ground earl grey tea
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 400 milliliter milk
- 2 tablespoons earl grey lavender tea (alternatively, use 2 tbsp early grey tea and 1 tsp culinary lavender)
- LAVENDER BUTTERCREAM:
- 3 cups icing sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon culinary grade lavender
- Few drops purple food colouring
