"Moving forward from a week of learning and reflection with eyes opened to new perspectives, mind ready for continued learning and growth and a commitment to lifelong allyship. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 📸 from last night’s Cheese & Wine virtual workshop. We paired a bright, lightly oaky chardonnay with a tangy soft-ripened goat cheese, luscious triple cream brie and nutty gruyère - plus an abundance of the yummiest fruit summer has to offer! 🍑🍓🍊 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I also shared a bit about my plans to contribute to long overdue change in the food industry to make it more inclusive, equitable and celebratory of BIPOC voices, perspectives and contributions. It’s just one “lane” in the fight against racism but I entered the food and cheese world believing that food has the power to bring people together - across cultures, continents and generations.
