ingredients

  • 1 large russet potato, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 3 ounces Président® comté, grated
  • 2 tablespoons heavy cream
  • 4 tablespoons whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh chives, chopped

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 375.

  • Step 2

    Thinly slice the peeled potatoes.

  • Step 3

    Combine the heavy cream, whole milk, garlic powder, and onion powder together.

  • Step 4

    Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  • Step 5

    In your mini cocotte dish, add several layers alternating between the thinly sliced potatoes, grated comté cheese, and milk sauce. Finish with a layer of grated cheese on top.

  • Step 6

    Add the lid to bake covered 20 minutes, then uncovered 20 minutes. Broil 1-2 minutes at the end for a golden crisp top.

    Garnish with fresh chives and flaky salt to enjoy!
