- two slices of lightly toasted whole grain bread
- hummus
- sauerkraut
- romaine or red leaf lettuce
- sliced cucumber
- sliced chestnut mushrooms
- sliced cherry tomatoes
- sliced pink radish
- pickled jalapeños
- chickpea, lentil and pink radish sprouts
- chives
Lightly toast the bread to give it that extra crunchiness. Let it cool down for a few minutes before spreading the hummus on one side of each piece of bread.
Assemble by topping one slice with sauerkraut. Then add as many layers of the other fillings as desired, before finishing off with a layer of sauerkraut and the second piece of bread.
