"Ok you guys, I literally had to push back from the table yesterday and have a serious chat with myself about this #quarantine situation. "No Chris! It doesn't mean you can sit around and eat yeasted baked goods all day!"⁣ It's totally one thing to practice skills, but then stick those babies in the freezer, not your pie hole! So, to solve this new found problem, I made a huge batch of granola yesterday! It's one of the easiest things to make at home, and you probably have everything you need already in your pantry! It's healthier than store bought, and waaaaayyy cheaper!"

ingredients

  • 5 cups rolled oats
  • 2/3 cup coconut sugar
  • 1/3 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups nuts, or other mix-ins like dried fruit or coconut

Method

  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 325.

  • Step 2

    Melt the coconut oil in the microwave⁣.

  • Step 3

    In an extra large bowl, combine all ingredients. Stir to combine.

  • Step 4

    Spread evenly on a large baking sheet.

  • Step 5

    Bake for 45-60 minutes until golden, mixing every 15 minutes⁣.

  • Step 6

    Once cooled, add dried fruit and chocolate as desired.
