Classic Egg In A Hole Toast

Ingredients

1 slice thick toast, with hole cut out of center

1 egg

2 tsp butter

salt and black pepper

fresh herbs, for garnish

Directions

Heat a small saute pan and add 1 tsp butter. When butter has melted, add toast and cook until lightly brown. 

Add remaining butter then flip and brown the other side of the bread. Crack the egg into the center of the whole and cook to desired doneness. Season with salt and pepper and garnish with fresh herbs.
