A Note from Feedfeed

Classic London Fog is made with warm milk and Earl Grey tea. This  drink gets a spin with lavender simple syrup. Sip on this sweet and slight floral drink for brunch or as an afternoon pick me up.

Recipe Card

ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 cup dried lavender
  • 6 Earl Grey Tea Bags
  • 1 drop purple food color
  • 3 oat milk

For the syrup

Method

  • Step 1

    Boil 1 cup water, sugar and lavender in a pot for 6 minutes. Turn down heat. Let steep for 5 more minutes. Strain out leaves, pour into a jar and allow syrup to cool.

  • Step 2

    Add desired amount of purple food color - start with 1 drop

For the tea

  • Step 1

    In the same pot bring 3 cups of water and 6 Earl Grey tea bags to a boil.

  • Step 2

    Once boiled turn down heat and allow to steep for 8 minutes.

  • Step 3

    Strain and pour into a separate jar

To assemble

  • Step 1

    Add Ice to a fresh glass, pour 1 cup of tea, 3 -4 TBS of lavender syrup, and top with 1 cup of oat milk.

  • Step 2

    Store any extra syrup in a sealed container in the fridge for up to a week
