Recipe Card
ingredients
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 large yellow onion, sliced
- 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
- 1 (3 ounce) package Classic Prosciutto
- 1 (8 ounce) wheel brie
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 2 tablespoons fig jam
- Toasted crusty bread & crackers, for serving
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400°F. Melt butter in a large pan over medium heat. Add in onion and kosher salt. Stirring frequently, gently caramelize the onions, being careful not to let them burn. This should take 20-30 minutes. Set aside when done.
Step 2
Meanwhile, place slices of prosciutto on a foil-lined baking sheet and place into the oven to bake for about 10 minutes, until prosciutto is crispy. Remove from oven set aside.
Step 3
Cover the top of the brie with the honey and place into the oven to bake (also at 400°F) for 5 minutes, until inside of the brie is gooey. Remove from oven.
Step 4
Assemble the baked brie by spreading fig jam on top, then placing on the caramelized onions, and crumbles of the crispy prosciutto. Serve with bread & crackers. Enjoy!
