Mushroom Bacon
ingredients
- 5 cups mushrooms, sliced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon vegan Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Tamari
- 1 teaspoon mellow white miso
- 4 dashes liquid smoke
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- pinch of salt
- pinch of garlic powder
- Black pepper, freshly cracked, to taste
Method
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375ºF and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Step 2
In a bowl, whisk together all ingredients except mushrooms. Pour the mixture over the sliced mushrooms and toss to coat. Spread mushrooms on the baking sheet and bake for 18 minutes until browned and crisp.
