These easy white chocolate studded matcha scones are dairy free and egg free, for a earthy and bright flavored morning treat.

  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 2 teaspoons any non-dairy milk
  • 1/2 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose or gluten free flour
  • 2 tablespoons oats (or 1 more tablespoon flour)
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon matcha powder
  • 1 teaspoon vegan white chocolate, chopped


  • Step 1

    Preheat oven to 350º F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  • Step 2

    In a bowl, combine oil, milk, syrup, vanilla.

  • Step 3

    In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, oats, and matcha powder.

  • Step 4

    Add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Fold in chocolate.

  • Step 5

    Transfer dough onto lined baking sheet and shape. Bake 20-23 minutes or until top is golden.
