ingredients

  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 6 garlic cloves, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 tablespoon red pepper chili flakes
  • 1/4 cup pasta water
  • juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley

Method

  • Step 1

    Cook pasta according to package direction until al dente, save 1/4 cup of the pasta water and drain the pasta.

  • Step 2

    In a large pan/skillet bring olive oil to low heat temp. Add in garlic & chili flakes, once garlic has toasted to a slightly brown color and no longer looks raw, add in salt & black pepper and stir.

  • Step 3

    Add in cooked pasta, pasta water, parsley, lemon juice & mix until all is combined. Add more salt, black pepper & chili flakes if needed. Remove from heat and serve immediately.
