Mulberries Recipes

A Note From FeedFeed

Mulberries peak in Mid-June and are harvested through the end of August and unlike most of their berry friends they grow on trees, not bushes (contrary to the song we all learned as little ones!). When ripe the fruit can be white, light purple and deep purple. The flavor is a bit more nuanced to describe, but in my personal opinion it tastes like a jammier and sweeter blackberry.  They can be used interchangeably for most berry recipes and are great in cakes, jams, on cheese boards and in cocktails!  Unlike blueberries, strawberries and blackberries, you won't find mulberries at your average grocery store. Check out the local farmer's market to scoop up a pint, or try your hand at foraging some!
