A wonderful start to the day
Kale Avocado Smoothie
Let the sun shine in with this morning booster. Crunchy kale, smooth avocado, zingy sea buckthorn and sweet kiwi. If you can't get hold of sea buckthorn, frozen mango is a good alternative.
Serves 4
Ingredients:
1 cup shredded kale
2 avocado (peeled)
1 cup diced cucumber (peeled)
1/2 cup frozen sea buckthorn (or frozen diced mango)
1 kiwi (peeled)
1 lime (juiced)
2 tbsp barley or wheat grass powder (optional)
1 tsp raw honey
1 1/2 - 1 cup water
Garnish
2-3 tsp hemp seed
Mix all ingredients utnil smooth in a strong blender. I use NutriBullet for best result.
Use more water if you want a thinner smoothie.
Divide into 4 glasses and top with hemp seed.
