Gingery Black Manhattan

(12)
"I picked up a bottle of ginger liqueur in the most quaint and quirky little deli – and I immediately put it to use in two cocktails. This is the first and it’s a riff on a Black Manhattan. The ginger liqueur was a lot more subtle in flavour than I expected (you could definitely enjoy it over ice without it being overwhelming in sweetness or spice) so I used a whole ounce in this cocktail, if you have a punchier one I’d test it with just half an ounce first so you don’t overwhelm the palate. The final serve is bittersweet, with caramel and coffee notes, finished with a beautiful spicy ginger"
