ingredients
- 1 (9 ounce) package fettuccine or other grain-free pasta
- 8 ounces mushrooms, cleaned and sliced
- 2 cups sugar-free marinara sauce
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Fresh basil, chopped
Method
Step 1
Cook pasta according to package directions, then set aside.
Step 2
In a large cast-iron skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced mushrooms, and cook until they have softened. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant, approximately 30 seconds.
Step 3
Next, stir in the marinara sauce, cooked pasta, chili flakes, and salt. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed, then remove from heat, stir in the fresh basil, and serve warm.Β
