Crispy Broccoli Bites

(17)
"These crispy broccoli bites are calling my name, not yours lol I want them all and if you decide to make them you must make some for me because I won’t have time to make them. 😂 On another note, do you guys get moody af for no apparent reason? I try my best to stay calm and relaxed but I think just sometimes I have to let that anxiety out. Did you know that your gut health is such a huge factor of how your mood and your brain functions? I was reading an article that even your gut is considered a second brain 😱 How cool is that? Haha, regardless we have to feed our bodies what it deserves not some basic sodas with high fructose corn syrup or products that have hydrogenated oils, and stay away from packaged foods is the easiest to avoid all those nasties."

Recipe Card

ingredients

  • 1 2/3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 12 ounces soda water
  • 2 heads Broccoli

Method

  • Step 1

Mix all ingredients except the soda in a bowl. Separate the mixture into two different containers. Using a deep fryer or a deep pan add oil about 1 inch deep then heat up on medium heat.

  • Step 2

Then take one bowl and add 3/4 of the soda container and mix well. Then take a floret of broccoli and dip it into the wet mixture, then immediately into the dry mixture(coat well), and finally onto the fryer, each side cooks in about 40 seconds.

  • Step 3

Then put them on a napkin so it absorbs any excess oil. Either enjoy with a sweet and spicy sauce, ranch, or buffalo sauce.
