"As we’re in the grasps of winter I can’t help but reminisce about this tall, bubbly beer cocktail. (@craftnorcal challenged me to make a cocktail with an IPA) It just screams “summer!”. I’m pretty proud of it because I homebrewed the beer itself (a riff on @deschutesbeer's delicious Fresh Squeezed IPA). I juiced several honey tangerines and added the juice in the secondary fermentation giving some nice balance to the IPA hoppy-ness. "

The Honey Jar
1 oz gin
3/4 oz lemon juice
1/2 oz honey simple syrup
5 oz homebrewed Honey Tangerine IPA (sub Fresh Squeezed IPA)
Combine all but the beer in a shaker with ice, shake and strain over rocks in a collins glass. Slowly pour the beer over the back of a spoon to get the layered effect. Garnished with a dehydrated slice of honey tangerine.
