  • 5 medium potatoes, grated
  • 1/2 cup shredded cabbage or Brussels sprouts
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/3 cup plus 2 teaspoons buckwheat flour
  • 2 tablespoons flax seed, mixed with 5 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt, as needed
  • black pepper, as needed
  • Breadcrumbs, for coating
  • Oil, for pan frying


  • Step 1

    Mix the cabbage and potatoes in a bowl with the garlic, buckwheat flour, flax seed mixture, paprika, salt and pepper. Form the dough into pieces and roll in breadcrumbs.

  • Step 2

    Heat oil in a pan, add the nuggets and cook until crispy.
