These no bake chocolate caramel bars are a millionaire's shortbread in half the time.

  • 5 1/2 ounces (about 4 bars) milk or dark chocolate
  • 6 3/4 ounces (about half of a can) condensed milk
  • 3 tablepoons sugar
  • 15-20 digestive biscuits, Crushed
  • 2/3 cup butter, melted


  • Step 1

    In a bowl, combine the crushed biscuits and all but 4 tablespoons of the melted butter. Transfer to a prepared pan and press into an even layer. Chill in the fridge for 20 mins.

  • Step 2

    Prepare caramel. Cook the sugar in a pan over low heat, continually stirring until it melts and begins to turn golden in color. Add in condensed milk and 2 tablespoons butter. Continue to cook, stirring until the color is that of caramel and is thick in consistency.

  • Step 3

    Spread the caramel sauce over the chilled biscuits layer. Let cool.

  • Step 4

    Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine chocolate with 2 tablespoons of butter, microwave for 20 seconds, until melted. Pour over chilled caramel layer and spread evenly.

  • Step 5

    Chill in fridge for 3-4 hours until fully set.
