ingredients

  • 3 cups cooked rice
  • 1/2 onion, sliced thin and fried
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green chili, sliced thin
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons (divided) za'atar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons (divided) Turkish chili flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Greek yogurt, to top
  • Sumac, to garnish
  • 6 soft boiled eggs (cooked 3-6 minutes), halved
  • Fresh dill, to garnish
  • Courgette, sliced thin
  • Pickle slices, to garnish

Method

  • Step 1

    In a medium skillet, heat oil and cook the rice with the spices and garlic until crispy.

  • Step 2

    Top with green chili, more spices, eggs, and greek yogurt.

  • Step 3

    Garnish with sumac and fresh dill. Serve with sliced courgette, leftover cooked vegetables, and pickles.
