ingredients
- 1/2 ounce rosemary syrup
- 1/2 ounce vanilla spiced pear syrup
- 1 ounce spiced pear puree
- 2 ounces non-alcoholic whiskey from @drinkmonday
- 1 ounce non-alcoholic old fashioned mix from @withcococktails
- Ice, for serving
- Pear slices, for garnish
Method
Rosemary Syrup:
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of sugar.
Step 2
Add 3-4 rosemary sprigs and bring the mixture to a boil.
Step 3
Simmer for 10 minutes, then remove from heat and allow it to cool.
Step 4
Once cooled, strain the syrup and discard the rosemary sprigs. Store in an airtight container for future use.
Vanilla Spiced Pear Syrup:
Step 1
In a saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and 1/2 cup of sugar.
Step 2
Add 1 whole pear (chopped), 1/2 tsp of vanilla paste, 3 cardamom pods, 6 peppercorns, 1 star anise, and a cinnamon stick.
Step 3
Bring the mixture to a boil and then reduce to medium heat, simmering for 10 minutes.
Step 4
Allow the syrup to cool, then strain to remove pears and spices. Store the syrup in the refrigerator
Spiced Pear Puree:
Step 1
Follow the same steps and ingredients as the vanilla spiced pear syrup.
Step 2
Once cooled, transfer the contents to a blender and blend until smooth, creating a spiced pear puree.
Mocktail:
Step 1
In a cocktail glass, combine rosemary syrup, vanilla spiced pear syrup, spiced pear puree, non-alcoholic whiskey, and non-alcoholic old-fashioned mix.
Step 2
Add ice and stir until well chilled.
Step 3
Strain the mixture into the glass.
Step 4
Garnish with a few slices of pear before serving.
