ingredients
- 3 cups all purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 3 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 cups buttermilk, at room temperature
- 3 eggs, at room temperature
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- Bacon, for servings
- Fresh fruit (such as raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, and bananas), for servings
- Nutella®, for serving
Method
Step 1
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
Step 2
In a separate bowl, beat together buttermilk, milk, eggs and melted butter.
Step 3
Heat a lightly oiled griddle or frying pan over medium high heat. Fold the wet mixture into the dry mixture. [Note: Use a wooden spoon or fork to mix until it's just blended together, it should be lumpy.]
Step 4
Pour or scoop batter onto the preheated griddle, using approximately ½ cup for each pancake. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface, 1 to 2 minutes. Flip with a spatula and cook until browned on the other side. Repeat with remaining batter. Makes 12-15 pancakes.
Step 5
Arrange pancakes on a serving platter to create a breakfast board. Add bacon, fresh fruit, and Nutella.
