ingredients
- 2 cups Cholar Dal
- 1 pieces sliced Tomato
- Ginger Slice
- 2 teaspoons Garam Masala powder
- 1 teaspoons Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoons Jeera Powder
- 1 teaspoons Turmeric Powder
- To Taste Salt
- To Taste Sugar
- 1 cups Mustard Oil
Method
Step 1
Make paste of overnight soaked Cholar Dal. Take it in a Bowl. Add salt and sugar to taste. Add pinch of turmeric powder and 1 Tsp Garam Masala powder. Whisk everything.
Step 2
Pour oil in pan. Put the paste of Dal. Fry them for few minutes in high flame. Continue stirring so that Dal paste does not stick to the bottom. Transfer to a ghee greased plate and cut into cubes.
Step 3
Pour oil in pan. Put Dhokas in pan and fry them golden. Flip gently in between.
Step 4
Make paste of tomato and ginger. Put paste in same oil. Add 1 Tsp Jeera powder and 1 Tsp Coriander powder and 1 Tsp Turmeric powder. Add salt and sugar to taste. Mix everything. Cook till raw smell of masala goes away.
Step 5
Add water once masala gets cooked. Add fried Dhoka once water starts boiling. Cook for few minutes till Dhoka absorbs the flavour.
