The days are getting longer and hotter as we inch towards summer, so cool down with a refeshing mezcal cocktail that is sweet, subtly herbaceous from the basil, and bubbly! These would be perfect to serve at a happy hour or a summer brunch

Recipe Card

ingredients

  • 2 ounces mezcal
  • 1/2 ounce monkfruit simple syrup, or simple syrup
  • 3/4 ounce lime juice
  • 5 basil leaves
  • 3 ounces fresh cantaloupe juice
  • Topo Chico, as needed, for topping

Method

  • Step 1

    In your shaker, add mezcal, simple syrup, lime juice, basil leaves, and cantaloupe and muddle.

  • Step 2

    Once muddled, add ice and shake.

  • Step 3

    Add ice to a glass and double strain into the glass.

  • Step 4

    Top with desired Topo Chico

  • Step 5

    Garnish with lime wheel and basil leaves
