French Toast

ingredients

  • 6 slices brioche bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 2/3 cup whole milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of salt
  • Butter or oil, for frying
  • Blueberries, to top
  • Pecans, to top
  • Maple syrup, to drizzle
  • Butter, to top

Method

  • Step 1

    In a shallow bowl whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon and salt.

  • Step 2

    Dip the bread slices into the egg mixture, coating both sides evenly.

  • Step 3

    In a pan over medium-high, heat butter or oil and cook the brioche until golden brown on both sides (about 3-5 minutes).

  • Step 4

    Top with butter, blueberries and pecans and drizzle with maple syrup. Serve immediately.
