  • 5-6 strips of bacon (about 5-6 ounces, or 150g; turkey bacon works well too)
  • 1 cup (240 grams) pink or white salt
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Method

  • Step 1

    In a preheated skillet, fry the bacon strips until deep reddish-brown on both sides, about 5-7 minutes.

  • Step 2

    Place the fried bacon on paper towels to absorb excess fat and let it cool.

  • Step 3

    Once cooled, place the bacon strips in a blender and pulse until crumbly.

  • Step 4

    Add the salt and garlic powder to the blender. Blend until well combined.

  • Step 5

    Transfer the bacon salt into an airtight jar and store it in the refrigerator.

  • Step 6

    Use as needed to season your favorite dishes.
