  • 1/2 white onion, diced
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 1 (23.5 ounce) jar Muir Glen Marinara Sauce
  • 1 (14.5 ounce) can Muir Glen Diced Tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • Kosher salt, to taste
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup dried pasta
  • Mozzarella cheese, for topping
  • Ricotta cheese, for topping

Method

  • Step 1

    In a large skillet, combine the diced onion and ground turkey. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cook until the turkey is browned and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.

  • Step 2

    Transfer the cooked turkey and onion mixture to your slow cooker. Add the chicken broth, Muir Glen Marinara Sauce, Muir Glen Diced Tomatoes, dried basil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, and oregano. Mix to combine.

  • Step 3

    Set your slow cooker on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 4-6 hours.

  • Step 4

    One hour prior to serving, stir in 1 cup of dried pasta and resume cooking.

  • Step 5

    Ladle the lasagna soup into bowls and top with ricotta and shredded mozzarella cheese.
