- 2 red apples
- 1 knob fresh ginger
- 1 grapefruit, (orange/blood orange works too)
- 1 1/ 2 cups fresh strawberries
- 1 small beet
- 2 carrots
- 1/ 2 lemon
- 1 cup coconut water
- Kombucha, homemade kombuch or store bought plain or mildly ginger flavored
- Mineral water, optional
Prep all fruits/vegetables with inedible rinds removed. Be sure to thoroughly wash all fruits/vegetables as best as possible.
If using a juicer: add all ingredients to a juicer and let it do its work!
If using a high-speed blender like Vitamix, add all ingredients to the blender and blend on high for 3-5 minutes. Strain using a nut milk bag. Squeeze all the juice you can and discard the leftover pulp or reuse in something else!
In a glass with ice, pour kombucha about halfway. Pour fruit juice until glass is full and stir to combine. If kombucha is homemade (stronger side) you can add mineral water or more juice to dilute/make sweeter.
Use the rest of the juice mixture to either flavor homemade kombucha batch or drink on its own! Drinking juice is best immediately but can be stored in an airtight glass container for up to 48 hours maximum. Juice makes about 4 cups on its own and 4-6 drinks with recipe.
